Had a great day off with Mort walking and talking around the bay at Thurlestone. Good choice to take the day off as weather was , technically, uggh. But got brighter in the afternoon. Unfortunately did not get the chance to paddle boarding, next time?.

So reluctantly left at 10am and chose to walk the coastal path. It took 3 hours to get to the marina that we walked to in 20 minutes last night. However the coastal path again was a surprise round every corner. Spectacular views, sea swimmers, a huge bird avary. At the marina saw people on skate boards with jets of water supporting them 4 m above the sea. A perfect walking day. Sun, easy paths. Really enjoyed seeing families enjoying the huge variety of beaches. Got to Brixham, enjoying fond memories of Quasar visit the day we voted to leave Europe.

Chose to have coffee in a really small pub, rising sun. Really friendly.a customer asked where I was camping. Suggested I try Upton Manor camping. Checked the website. Reception closed in an hour it was a 30 minutes walk. I was now programmed. Thought I had done enough for the day. Got to the campsite to find it flooded to reopen 4th May. A local said others camp on Sharkham point. The holiday park next door gave me water. Unfortunately it took 2 attempt, due to dropping the open bag of water on the bar. Oops.

Set tent up at 6 great view and warm. Kept the door open so dog walkers could see it was in use. Day walk 13 walk total 599, GR SX 931546.
