Did not sleep well due to the noise of the wind and trees. This was the second site I could walk to the toilet block without boots, luxury.

The day was perfect, blue sky and a breeze so no sweat in the eyes.

At 9 called Anne but there was trouble when she phoned back. Bad thoughts the phone was not right. My imagination.

After St Anthony, I found myself on the wrong road.Again had to find a linking foot parh, over grown and uneven which my knees do not like.

At Gillian harbour the path had a detour due to storm erosion. I was over taken by two ladies also walking to Covrack. They were understanding of the ruck sack as had back packed the West Highland Way.

At Nare Point, I have the feeling Cornwall was running out of ideas for place names, I said goodbye to Falmouth. I had seen it for 3 days as I walked round the rivers. The look out station had a visitor welcome sign which I had not seen before.

Over took the ladies before Porthallow. Desperate for a coffee, I was advised to the Fat Apple Cafe up the hill. I thought I had made a mistake not following my desire to the pub on the shore, When all hope was fading of lost coffee break, a sign. The cafe was perfect. Rustic, book shop, home made food , good portions, and a warm welcome to walkers. I met 3 other walkers, a couple from Norway were wild camping, had left their boat at Padstow, and were walking the coast path to Plymouth. My break lasted 1 1/2 hours. On leaving I was able to welcome the two ladies who called in to the cafe for ice cream.

Got to Coverack at 4.30. so enjoyed my first Cornish ice cream..

Day walk 16 miles, Total now 894, SW 781181, COVERACK YHA.
