Woke up refreshed so decided to take Phil's advice and visit the bird hide.Really glad I did.this whole area is a twitchers paradise. Back at the tent decamped. I had written a note of thanks,in addition Jo came out to say goodbye. I was sad to leave. And hopefully will meet Jo and Phil again. The guard yappy dogs were not on duty.Jo said there were blue rubber hose each side of the gate to defend ourselves. Met an old oriental lady big smile full of enthusiasm for the area, she came regularly day trips from Taunton. The walk along the river defence is similar to Erith marshes but much longer. Had a Mars bar break listening to the church bells of Combwich. I had toyed with the idea of staying in the Premier Inn in Bridgewater. Got there at 3. physically wrecked. Due to my bank not sending transaction codes I had to pay £10 extra. Codes came through when I got to the room. Day total 14 miles, project total 1141 miles. Staying tonight at the Premiere Inn ST 307390
