Had thought of a day off after the 17.2 miles, but felt ok. Gave another backpacker the Marshford campsite details. The walk to Croyde was a good test. Great views of Staunton Sands. A hidden gem of a beach.A sky fest was packing up. I would have stayed in Croyde if it was going on. It was fun walking across Croyde beach being so close to the surfers. Saw a surfer accessing the beach from a slope. However, what I did not see was the rocks to negotiate to get there. At Baggy Point walked with a dog walker who would also like to do the SWPath, but now had the dog and had to carry it's food. The dog looked young so a long time to wait. Woolacombe, looked flatter than I imagined from walkers discriptions. A couple of backpackers also told me of the bad campsite and showed me on the map. It was really hot. Approaching Woolacombe was a pastie shop, pastie and water, perfect. Met a couple of cyclist to exchange experiences. The coastal path was via More Point, the map said to access the path just 400m up the road. But the sign took me over a large hill, to the same spot.I was too tired for this. At Morte saw a couple of seals. The campsite only charged £7. Got there by 5 so able to listen to the football. Best radio I have listened to. Liverpool nearly won the premier League, and Leeds stayede up
